Hey, I'm Tyler. But you all probably already figured that out. :)
5 things from this school that I never noticed.
1.) All of the cell phone signs.
2.) The stupid amount of exit signs we have in the "H" hallway.
3.) The transitions from carpet to hard floor.
4.) The outlet on the roof outside of the office.
5.) The Christmas lights are still up.
My list of 10 important things..in no certain order.
1.) My faith is extremely important to me. Everyday, I see SOMETHING that makes me say, "Wow, what an amazing father I have."
2.) I love, no matter what it is, coming home to a UPS package at my back door.
3.) Being surrounded by the love and care of my friends. I wouldn't be worth a thing without them. I have THE best friends in the world.
4.) The fun, positive, and loud environment of going to shows.
5.) My band and the music we play. Every time we practice or play a show, the music just makes me smile.
6.) The music I listen to constantly keeps me positive. Without my music I would be nothing.
7.) Everyday when I get into my car, and smell that air freshener.
8.) I really enjoy the creative places my X Box 360 always takes me. It's like a son to me.
9.) People that make me constantly smile, laugh, and feel amazing. It takes a very special person to always stay positive and to be there for me.
10.) My family is my safety blanket. I love them more than anything, so it's a pretty warm blanket.
Revised Journal Entry for 1/23/09
This past 24 hours has indeed been a very sad one. All day I thought in my head, "I am so stoked for youth group tonight, it's going to be so awesome." Then it hit me. Will wasn't going to be there. He left early Wednesday morning, on a venturous journey to Cedar Falls/Waterloo. All I've really been able to seriously think about is how awkward the church is without him now. Charlie and I are stepping up and teaching some weeks with Jacey, but it still won't be the same. Will left, but a ton of new emotions came. Anger, sadness, happiness, all of these at once. I know that sometimes Will was late, and he's very unorganized most of the time, but nobody that "voted" Will out took the time to realize what he truly accomplished in this town. I also questioned things. Not about my faith, that's to strong for anyone to even touch, but the fact that rumors were started in a church. Churches, to me, are safe havens where you're supposed to be able to talk to people, and not have to worry about stupid things like that. Over the two years Will was here, he made such a huge difference. He even cracked some of my closest friends, and helped bring them into loving Christ. It just never made sense to me on why he had to leave, but what's done is done. Now I have to move on and realize that with him gone, it brings new beginnings. A whole new year that Charles and I, along with a bunch of other chosen helpers, have to step up and be the leaders that Will was. It helped us realize that you can't put your faith and trust in people, because people always fail you. I'm just happy that I have some of the greatest friends in the world, and that's all I need for now.
What I Want poem.
What I want is
Enough heart
To love everyone
What I want is
And inside that venue
Enough room
For everyone to hang out all the time
Instead of resorting to
Other activities that aren't so awesome
Sweet music
All of the time, and enough couches
To seat an army
Where kids can come in
Make hot pockets whenever
They would please
And hear the music
Begin to play
To hear
The opening stick clicks, 1, 2
STRIKE!!
WHAT I WANT TO WRITE ABOUT!!!
1.) A letter to my grandparents.
2.) A goodbye letter to the high school.
3.) A story about how dumb Chris looks with a cane.
4.) A story about how kids have made up a ton of words now a days.
5.) A journal about how I want to journal what went on each day of my life.
6.) The story of the lost laptop.
7.) A journal speaking about what the lyrics I write about are about
.
8.) A tale of how me and all of my friends came to be.
9.) The intro of my own personal autobiography.
10.) How sweet music is.
11.) How much I enjoy warm weather.
We run through the streets hoping for the best.
The cement was hot, burning our bare feet.
As we looked up, the sun set in the west.
Though we were fast, our demise we would meet.
The Zombies were quick, but we took the lead.
Our final moments closing in quickly.
A gun or a shank is all that we’d need.
An escape so tough, so hard, and tricky.
But suddenly: Life. I feel so tall.
With a great leader I followed the pup.
With lighter in hand, the lit alcohol.
A Molotov cocktail blew them all up.
The zombies were stupid, and very dumb. Now that I look back, I thank that drunk bum
